The Nuremberg "Pfeffersäcke", the Pepper Bags; this nickname stems from the wealthy merchants of Nuremberg, in the Middle Ages as many had acquired their assets through trade in spices. This is the Beer stein with a pointed lid from this pewter series. H: 18cm
